"My best guess is that the U.S. Supreme Court will do nothing but send it back to the Florida Supreme Court with their blessings, I just don't think the U.S. Supreme Court judges will want to dirty their hands and tarnish their image by taking sides....."

GZ, if your take is correct then pray tell why in the world did they take the case ? If they do punt (and they won't) then they have tarnished their image. The Supreme Court does not "take sides" in the way the FLSC did/does... it's function is to preserve the Constitution and the rule of law.

Well, I see that the law may allow them to intervene without literally taking sides. We'll see. I'd heard liberal experts saying the Fla. Supreme Court wouldn't likely do what it eventually did, because THAT would be construed as taking sides. We'll see.

Dear GZ: You are probably right but we can always hope that the Supreme Court would consider the pain in the Nation and put an end to this. You know, if it was a horse you would shoot it to put it out of its misery!! JDN
