Any bets on how The Supreme Court will rule? I wonder if they won't say, "we don't have a remedy." In other words, they'll stay out of it although there may be a few dissenting votes.

I watched The Supreme Court dissect Bush and Gore's cases on PBS last night.

Here are a couple of points that were made:

"To the pleasure of Republicans, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor said the Florida Supreme Court's decision to allow more time for manual recounts ``does look like a very dramatic change'' from state law.

Democrats could be encouraged by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. ``I do not know of any case where we have
impugned a state supreme court in the way you have,'' she told Bush lawyer Theodore Olson. ``We owe the highest respect to the state court when it says what the state law is."
