Dell vs. Compaq

Stockman,

I joke around a lot. Idaho has much to gain from a Republican president...and even more from having the House and Senate controled by Republicans. Few understand how much "stuff" has happened out here during the last 8 years.....and I really would like to see the tax cuts and the end of death taxes. Both of these things would help my family greatly. Long ago, I found the pure definition of what politics are all about......that being "what can they do to help me...personally....then my state...then my nation".

As you can imagine....I was a big John McCain fan. I was crushed when he got beat...but I did not contest it! I really like Colin Powell also....I think he could have been president if he had wanted to be president. Cheney is also a very experienced guy....and would also have been a qualified presidential candidate.

Notice that the Republicans are now doing photo shoots with all three of these guys standing together. I think you get 3 for 1 with the Bush team.

On the Dell vs Compaq issue.....I believe that Compaq will build and ship with IDX technology.....while Dell and others offer the technology from a different "store" as an after market add-on.

I will be buying at least one PC....(my son will get this one)....and I would like it to come loaded with the IDX technology....so I think my vote would need to go with Compaq.

I hope Gateway, Micron, and Dell begin doing what Compaq is doing...but I don't think they are doing so now.

Stockman,

Count all the votes? I stand on my claim for that in Florida, however, the more I hear about over 2.5 million ballots throughout the states not counted . . . . Mr. Gore, if it is also about "principle" as you say, shouldn't we also count all the other uncounted ballots? The popular vote you hold title to is really not legitimate.

Gore has a 400+ margin in New Mexico with over 17,000 ballots rejected, a 6,000 vote margin in Oregon with over 12,000 ballots rejected, Wisconsin, Iowa, heck Gore could still win New Hampshire. It is about WINNING and Gore's selfishness that we are going through this long drawn out process. 2.5 million rejected ballots, it is the "pinciple", if people vote, all votes should be counted.

There has been some bad market news, but without a doubt, the Presidential uncertainty is the majority of the reason the market has headed south. Take Care.
