John: LOL!! I know exactly what you're saying. It's a comment I myself have oft-times used regarding Fleckstein. Even so, I tend to view him as the "little boy who cried wolf," more than a broken clock. A broken clock implies the person is "merely" being correct because of the "time," and not because there may be some underlying merit to the argumentative position.

That little boy was eventually proven correct, albeit no one listened to him while their sheep were made so much lunch, eh? Bottom line? It's worth looking at the underlying arguments supporting any one position. If they begin to have some merit.....well....at least you approach the future, from the point it begins to hold true, with wider open eyes than before. One should always be willing to go against long established, favored, and possibly now defunct, states of mind when playing this game. IMHO, of course.
