Hi Vi,

Do you really believe it will take 20-30 years before the NAZ sees 5,000 again? I don't think so... the Internet is still in its infancy and new companies with great ideas will be emerging all the time along the way... the NAZ will be adding those companies into the index... I think we'll see new highs before very long.....BWDIK

I think it already has... the way in which it worked under the "this time it's different" mantra.

Now stuff like earnings and P/Es seem to matter more with stocks like CMGI, once trading over 200 are back down to 10 or so...

This is phase 2 of the normal intro of new technology into the world. Phase 3 will be the SLOW recovery and eventually (may take 10 or more years) to get back to prior levels.

Why I say it's different, is that the Pentium 4 chip is already announced and nobody seems to know it will provide up to 10 GHz processor capabilities! Before, we would have all known that BEFORE IT WAS ANNOUNCED!!!
