Bought into selected issues this am on this dip. Some very fundamentally sound companies such as Nortel, JDS Uniphase, and Rambus have gotten absolutely trashed. The first two came out this week and reiterated guidance. 7 insiders bought shares in Nortel in the 40's so that should further give indication as to their business going forward. JDSU reiterated guidance yesterday and given that it was a darling of many of the margin players it has been absolutely trashed based on the recent margin selling. I do believe that we hit a bottom yesterday. Whether it is a short term bottom or a long term one will be determined on the next retest. If we get a light volume pullback and put in a double bottom higher low formation on the chart money will come in off of the sidelines and commitments will be made then. We have seen a confluence of bad news and out of that springs opportunity. I have committed 10% of my cash this morning and will put the balance to work should the retest hold.
