If your buying the right stocks....long term, prices should be higher. Short term, too much is uncertain with election, fed meeting and etc......I also agree on the shorts. I think historically, we are near a high for short interest on tech issues. Whether they continue and drag us down further remains to be seen, but one thing that is certain, is evenually the shorts will have to cover, and at that time it could get as ugly for the shorts as it has been for us longs. I just hope we have seen the worst, and we either base or move up, but I still feel with so much uncertainty, we will have another fire sale or two......I hope I have the balls like the old keith used to have and buy next time there is blood in the streets....with cash, I would not hesitate, but margin has taught me a lesson, and thefor, my reluctancy to buy yesterday. Also, I would assume if Gore pulls this out which I still think he will, we will probably have the mother of all capitulation days and mother of all buying opp's....and mother of all margin calls and bankruptcy's. Hell, if I were smart, in anticipation of a gore victory and naz plumett, I should probably sell and go to all cash and be ready for the real mother of all buying opp's.....But since I am rooting for Bush, I can't do that<ggg> Keith
