Greenspan, at least in relation to his power and influence in past yrs, has actually had a minor affect on the markets these past few months...no radical changes in bias, no changes in rates, etc...markets searching for direction and heading due south is complements of a) no definitive end to this election and b) George W viewed as a neophyte businessman with a limited understanding of how world markets operate.
