ISLANDIA, N.Y., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) is advising eBusinesses and home computer users of ``ProLin.A'' (also known as ``Shockwave.A'') the latest Microsoft Outlook-based email Worm threat. CA global antivirus researchers have determined this Worm to be medium risk, but are closely monitoring the situation.

ProLin.A is similar to the way in which ``LOVEBUG,'' ``RESUME'' and ``LIFESTAGES'' spread. Upon execution, ProLin.A sends itself as an attachment to every address listed in an infected user's Microsoft Outlook address book. The Worm arrives as an email with the subject, ``A great Shockwave flash movie.'' The body of the message reads, ``Check out this new flash movie that I downloaded just now ... It's Great Bye'' and contains an attachment called ``creative.exe.''

hi gottfried,

i don't know why i am not installing netscape6.0. (pardon me while i give myself a good talking to.) the download is just sitting there on my desktop. i've read probably 4 in-depth reviews (split evenly pro and con) and i've previewed screenshots of the new browser.

i guess what is keeping me from installing it is that i read that it still has substantial probs. communicator4.76 is a very functional browser for me, enough so as to make me reluctant to usher in the new kid.

i'm really waiting for the day that you tell us that netscape6.0 has become your default browser. at that time, i will drop whatever i am doing and install that baby!

:)
