JFieb,

Q has days when it trades huge volumes. From previous material I posted on Yahoo on 8/25/2000 volume was 16,672,500 on that day. The volume has exceeded 10M shares 5 times in the past 2 years. Those dates, volumes, and price action (day before and day after) were:

8/25/2000 16,672,500 $109.6 -> $100.3

5/9/2000 16,369,300sh $99 -> $61
5/8/2000 12,102,100sh

5/7/1999 10,148,400sh $18 -> $26

7/17/1998 22,370,400 $4.68 -> $6.9
7/20/1998 10,111,200sh $6.88

Historically, 2/4 were either up or down depending on your bias. My take is that there has been a lot of hype the last few days with a negative bias and this may be associated with some accumulation. On the other hand there is probably a lot of momentum action based on the historic volatility of the stock.

Just my opinion.

George
