My guides these days are Greg Mullineaux, Bruce Brown (hangs out on SI's Gorillas & Kings thread), and "edamo" (brilliant!). When I get the courage to redirect my diminished IRA, they will be the people to whom I look for guidance.

You got that right John. I'm not familiar with Bruce Brown, but Greg and edamo - top notch in my book. In my view the only two reasons to visit the mod squad.

John,

You said "I just don't think he does thorough research into the companies he backs."

You are being very kind.

Thomas wasn't being sarcastic.
He calls it as he sees it.
If its black, call it black.

Hi John,

I agree with your choices of whom to follow for investment opinions, and in fact read the G & K thread on a regular basis. I don't concern myself with time capsules, angels or the HOUSES. What does bother me is the constant buy now, buy now, shouting with total conviction. All the way down from 5,000 to 2,500. What I wonder about is how many people were, and are being misled by following that misguided advise. I do not include myself in that category.

Best regards,

Tom

I'll weigh in here too, John. I think Voltaire's intentions are entirely honorable. I also think a lot of people have been hurt in following his "buy each dip" mentality. I know that no one is holding a gun to their heads to buy, however, as the leader of a thread, I am well aware of how many people read and take seriously what I write.

The addition of concepts like "faith" and "angels" in the mix serves to muddy the waters there as well, IMO, as people want to believe that something good will happen if they stay a part of the faithful.

I also respect Greg Mullineaux, Bruce Brown, Stock Hawk and many others on the G&K. Edamo.....no public comment.
