15:38 ET Intel (INTC) 34 1/16 -4: Evidence of paranoia: rumors of another big tech warning started with Motorola (MOT) and have now spread to Intel (INTC), which is not a surprising target given misses from Gateway (GTW) and Micron Electronics (MUEI); these are all just rumors at this point but they are clearly taking their toll on the Nasdaq (+6).

Final tally: Bought 5k @58-1/2 Bought 4k @59-1/2 Sold 4k @66-1/2 Sold 1k @67 Sold 3k @64-1/2 Bought 5k @60-1/4 Bought 1k @60-1/2 Net long 7k at a cost of $52.25 Closing px of $61-15/16 Usually, I'm a LTBH type of a guy, but the last three months has truly been a near-death experience, so I've been forced to change my ways, by being a little more creative in my trading strategies. So far, so good - I really needed today's "luck". One good day out of a hundred bad ones doesn't make things any more palatable, but heck, it's a good start!
