That is true but in rare case the legislature can say "wait, your interpretation is wrong" then even the law is still no law even SC say so.

I find that hard to believe.

The law may have been passed by a legislature anytime from 1 day to 200 years back. How can the current legislature decide what the interpretation should be. If the current legislature id Republican, then they decide one way and vice versa for democratic legislature. We would never have laws that stick.

Interpretation of laws is the job of the Judiciary !!
