Thank you for your fair assessment as to what's going on. It was like a breath of fresh air!

I'm of a different mindset. I didn't vote for Gore...I voted in Massachusetts for Nader. I'm not so much pro-Gore as I am anti-Bush. But no matter how I look at this, as things presently stand, Gore's getting screwed.

And the last thing I would ever wish for in a presidential election, is for someone to assume the presidency having lost both the national popular vote and the electoral college vote. I can't believe there are so many folks particpating on this thread who aren't bothered by this.

The fact is America would never be the same. America's prestige to and among other nations forever harmed were Bush to get the presidency in this manner.

And the history books for America's school children will forever view Bush's presidency as something even less than the asterisk that got placed next to Roger Maris' name after he bested Babe Ruth. The difference being, Bush got the presidency because he had the Floridian secretary of state in the bag. Not good, my friends! Not good!!!
