God was calling Adam because Adam had just fallen into sin, he now for the first time had a guilty conscience and was too ashamed to come into God's Holy presence as before. God was is essence saying, ADAM, DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE? We had fellowship, I walked in the garden with you, you hid nothing from me now you are ashamed to come out and face me.
