Ian,

Let me qualify my statements. PRIA is the clear leader in their area- no argument there. I use the term tertiary because there are so many companies within the equipment sector which dominate their niche, from PRIA to CYMI to HELX. I believe the latter can be viewed as a clear leader although I am not entirely certain. Regardless, AMAT is normally viewed as an approximate proxy for these companies, and others in the sector with which they compete. When an AMAT or KLAC has their numbers racheted down, it normally is not good news for any of these. Although to be fair, a lithography company may be the exception to this rule because of the long lead times for their equipment. So too, may a PRIA if indeed a greenfield fab needs to be equipped with PRIA equipment.

To sum it up, I did not mean to use the literal meaning of tertairy in referriing to PRIA since tertiary means Third in place, order, degree, or rank Clearly it does not fit this definition since it is the leader.

Regards,

Brian

O/T--I've very recently started buying back into the Semiequips and now own ASYT from 12ish and LRCX from 14.75---2 questions if I may---1)Why on earth is ASYT selling at a substantial discount to PRIA? Seems to me that no discount is warranted....2)Why is LRCX trading at a substantial discount to NVLS or KLAC? (psr and 2001 p/e)----Also, can someone suggest a 3rd one that is down more than 75% and which is highly regarded in its field? (maybe MTSN?)thanks
