It's not a recession, yet. We still have 2%+ GDP growth. If we do get a recession, the market could go lower, could stay flat. Mr. Greenspan needs to act, otherwise (IMO) we are headed for a recession in the 1st half of 2001.

Big oil companies have held up rather well...one reason the DOW has held up relatively well. Also throw in AXP and GE...
