One of the great things about the Net is the availability of full texts of great books from the past (usually the ones with expired copyrights). I grew up in a small town which, though it had an ok library where I spent lots of time, did not always have the books I wanted. I read many books because they were all I could get my paws on at the time.

Mark Twain is, if not the best, certainly in the Top Ten of American authors. Once again you are showing fine taste. (But we are not fooled <g>).....
