Re: CPQ

Yes, I noticed that. Coupled with CPQ's announced $1 billion stock buyback the market seems to have gotten the message too as CPQ was up today while DELL was down.

All this provides further evidence that GTW's confession was simply the convenient excuse at hand for capitulation.

>CPQ's CEO said that their Thanksgiving sales were "Robust

yep, he also said that all is well, despite volatility. He admitted that desktop sucks but there is more to it, such as servers, and europe picking up the slack. and the hybrid model pays off. (not quite the same in dell's land)

These days it's an easy ride for M$FT bashers and Intel is viewed through the gateway glass. wasn't this the scenario
just before wintel could shut once more the ANALysts' mouth, as short as a few weeks ago ?

The street has short memory, and so has SI (today if you're a blow-hard MSFT basher you stand a good chance of getting awarded the cool post of the day).

Let them do so, meanwhile ITAnium is out there and well, W2K is out there and well, notebooks (with Intel inside) are kicking in, WINTEL-servers are booming and P4 starts getting the recognition it deserves despite the crap that
Papst has been slinging around.
