A friend has one with the wireless hookup. He can read word and excel attachments on his email - the only weakness of the Blackberry - do web browsing which would be more than adequate for my needs, maintain his calendar, play music and read e-books, all in a package that fits in his shirt pocket. The color is crisp and easier to read in sunlight than any laptop I have ever seen. If I had one of those I might never buy another laptop." most of my stock holdings are in handhelds. my head is definitely in the sand. i won't disagree with you there. the handhelds, however, can not deliver PC quality until the speed of the networks comes up to par. there are significant issues with bluetooth and WAP which must still be rectified before handheld technology becomes widespread and more user friendly. video transmissions and other data remain too slow.
