Why aren't they enforcing their patent against others who have come out with similar products?

BTW, Pamela, it is not true that I have never contacted the company for informtion. First of all, how can you even know that? That I haven't POSTED that I've contacted the company doesn't mean that I haven't. In fact, I contacted Robert Putnam by e-mail the other day about the units vs. dollars issue. I asked several questions, and asked permission to disseminate his answers. He wanted to discuss it on the phone. I wanted an answer in writing. We compromised. I asked if he would answer the "units vs. dollars" question via e-mail with a simple, one-word answer, and then we could discuss further details by phone. He provided a one-word answer. He never got back with me on the other questions that I had, nor did he ever respond, either affirmatively or negatively, regarding my request that I be permitted to disseminate his answer. (Which, you will note, I have not given here.) I asked him twice if I could disseminate his answer.
