Gore could try lobbying the Bush electors to defect:

Duke - I've heard it now on 4 different networks that the Democratic attorney falsely told the FSC that the Illinois SC case allowed the counting of dimpled ballots. Have you heard this yet?

2 big blows to Gore this afternoon.

#1 FSC refused to order the immediate recount of Miami-Dade ballots.
#2 FSC tossed the request for a revote in PB because of the butterfly ballot.

Let's face it. He's already been pronounced dead twice and now the heart-lung machine is giving out. The hope of saving his vital organs for the 2004 campaign is fast escaping.

Duke,

AFTER VOTING, CHECK YOUR BALLOT CARD TO BE SURE YOUR VOTING SELECTIONS ARE CLEARLY AND CLEANLY PUNCHED AND THERE ARE NO CHIPS LEFT HANGING ON THE BACK OF THE CARD.

When filling out your absentee ballot request, you must fill in your registration number, or the request is invalid.

OK. Throw out the few hundred votes Gore gained from the hand recount, and throw out the 5,000 votes Bush gained from improper absentee ballot applications, and Gore wins. Got the picture?

I do not recall it saying that at the polls...then again I didn't look. SO I can't verify one way or another.
I looked at the the sample ballot I have.
It gives instructions how to vote but not the bold type: "AFTER VOTING, CHECK YOUR BALLOT CARD TO BE SURE YOUR VOTING SELECTIONS ARE CLEARLY AND CLEANLY PUNCHED AND THERE ARE NO CHIPS LEFT HANGING ON THE BACK OF THE CARD". It does say push hard with the stylus provided and only with the stylus provided. It says this at the bottom of the instruction page. "If you make a mistake, return your ballot card and obtain another"

I would be happy to FAX you the instruction page of the sample ballot...

Jim
