Hi Mike,

About 18 months ago I took a Windows NT server class at my local community college. It was 4 credits, and was preparatory for the MCSE certification which was a separately administered by third parties. The cost of this course to me was about $200, including class time, lab time and textbook. In contradistinction, the similar class from Global Knowledge costs $2,595. Almost 13 times as expensive for a class that simply doesn't offer the vastly superior learning opportunity to clarify issues with a live instructor and/or lab mates in real time.

I'd call Global Knowledge's solution as not quite ready for prime time. Once they get the cost down to $150 per class, then they will be competitive.

Best, Ray

Video Phones and Video Conferencing had no future because they were implemented by ILEC. These were public service companies staffed with bureaucrats. A quasi-statal company.

Let by itself IBM nor Xerox never had made a personal computer. It was necessary for an outsider go there look what they have and do it outside the company.

Look to ADSL, it was there for the ILECS to implement. They didn't. It was necessary for outsiders (CLECS) to come and do it.

Video conferencing is even a terrible name for a service. What we need is a micro cam im my PC (or Internet Cafe). The agent call me and look at my face and interview me for a next contract. I also look to his face.

You could have a conversation with your doctor also pover the video enabled Internet.

Hey, I don't earn my money with that! Where are the guys who earn their money thinking stuff like that?
