I just spoke with Mr. Robert Putnam (12-01-00 7:00 p.m. EST).

I was very skeptical as to what I was reading on this board so I spoke with Robert personally. Some of this may be rehashing, but it's nice to get good, honest confirmation. I'm not going to say what I asked, simply what he stated.

1. Regarding the Treo player: It is in fact true that they are currently negotiating with PC manufacturers in the 7 digit range. Royalties on these would be 14-18 dollars depending on the order size, maybe less for larger, maybe more for smaller. This units would be shipped throughout 2001 as they would be bundled with PC's as they are built. Contracts (plural) will be announced as CES.

2. Samsung: He said we can expect our relationship with Samsung to become official before CES. He couldn't comment further at this time.

3. Dataplay: He said CES would be Dataplay's huge coming out party as a company. He said he expects that Dataplay related products would start shipping in the first 6 months of 2001.

4. Our new CFO: He said we can expect an announcement regarding the new CFO within the next 5-6 days. (Sounds like another edig Thursday to me!!!)

5. I asked him if we can expect to see 10 dollars a share in the near future. He said there's a lot of money yet to be put on the table. He then drew an analogy. He said it would be like Lucent going from 16-64 or AT&T going from 18-72. He said it could happen like that. (Honestly, I didn't expect an answer to that question. I'm surprised he even drew an analogy. He of course can't speculate. But i believe he wanted to say "Of course we'll see 10 in the near future.")

Anyway, this wasn't word for word, but it is close. I haven't exaggerated, mislead, or hyped. I've only reported what was said to the best of my memory. As always, happy trading and I AM here. Dougito
