This is probably old hat to experienced IE users, but when in full screen mode, the bar that moves as pages load gets moved to the upper right corner. Though not an urgently needed feature, with the deterioration of SI speed we've seen these last few days, it's nice to be reminded that the system is actually working and that we haven't simply forgotten to click for the next page.

Cheers, PW.

mr mark, [edited] playing with Netscape 6 tonight. It is slooow to open. Takes 25-30 seconds. And I mean that's the time for the browser to open, before a web page loads. IE5.5 takes 5 seconds to open. [400 MHz Celeron, 96MB, Win98]

[edit] Tried the above several times. Netscape 6 opens so slow, at first I thought the pc was frozen.

mr mark, you asked about Netscape 6: I doubt it will become my default browser. I found another annoyance [the first one was 25-30 seconds for the browser to open]. When I go to a new page in SI [by clicking 'subject marks' for instance], the screen turns blank briefly [as is normal] and then fills with text. Then the text shifts left a tad to make room for the scroll bar on the right. IE5.5 doesn't do that.

Sorry. I used to be a Netscape bigot years ago. I'm really trying to find reasons to make Netscape the default.
