I think a lot hinges on Judge Sauls. So far I have no reason to question the manner in which he is handling the case.

If he orders a manual recount in Miami-Dade, and holds them to the same standards that Palm Beach applied, which I think are objectively reasonable, and Gore gets enough votes to win, and the military ballots are counted and Gore still has enough votes to win, I won't think Bush is the winner and I don't think anyone else will, either. This is predicated on also recounting Broward using the same standard that Palm Beach used.

I don't have a problem with counting hanging chads. I have a problem with counting dimpled chads.

I know in the same situation, the Dems would do a power grab. I don't think the Republicans will. But we shall see.
