<<I'm more inclined than ever at this point to be looking for a viable 3rd party alternative.>>

You are the eternal optimist. The only thing a 3rd party candidate has done or ever will do will be to act as a spoiler aka loser with a grudge.

There are few things I ever say "never" to. But I will tell you this...if I look out my window in the morning and see the Sun rising in the East, and I repeat this action for five more days and continue to see the Sun rising in the East, I need not look out my window on the 7th day to know that the Sun has, indeed, risen in the East.

No 3rd party will ever amount to more than a warm bucket of spit.

Ray, as you understand the problem here, to wit,

Statism vs the people, you also understand that a viable third party alternative is almost immpossible. The Libertarians try, but they will never be "viable" until you can get the pro-choicers to strap a Glock to their ribs.

I would argue that there is a much greater space between the libertarians and the anarchists, but then, I could be wrong.

Best regards, Moose
