Glenn -- Iraq turned off their taps today. Analysts said Baghdad timed its move to cause maximum disruption: Oil inventories are tight, and the United States - Iraq's chief nemesis - is preoccupied with efforts to determine its next president.

Oil demand will slow in the US by February. If we released 60 million barrels from our strategic reserves, that is about all that Iraq ships in that time frame. That much is not even necessary since there is still more capacity in some oil exporting countrys. Also, China has decrease their oil demand. It is a non event except to Iraq who will loose a lot of revenue.
