<The answer from Julie did not include WCDMA or 1xEV (HDR)>

This may be old, it is from the 19 July 2000 CC for 3rd Quarter.

The second question by Walter P was "could you comment on the fact that the two manufacturers that represent 50 percent of the market that represent mobile phones have not yet licensed your technology for Wide Band CDMA. What is your expectations on the timing of that and at what point would there be an opportunity to begin litigation against those companies?" Dr J: "Nokia was an early licensee of CDMA technology and continues to work on that actively. I suspect that there are various discussions that will continue and hopefully there will be no issues with legal action and we will reach agreement. But that has not yet been concluded. They do have certain rights to earlier patents but not to the full range of patents that are up to date. Similarly Mot has rights to earlier patents as well, I don't have a date as to when those discussions might conclude."
