To: Rarebird who wrote (61612 ) 12/2/2000 6:29:08 AM From: d:oug Respond to of 116762 Rarebird, <<Whoever becomes President will have little respect amongst half the American People.>> If only 1/2 of the usa people of voting age voted, then these 1/2 do not care if its gore or bush, then the next prez has 3/4 of usa "not against him" or not in catagory of stolen election from their man. I agree that those of voting age that did not vote for a prez include some like i that wants a prez bush, and some who want neither gore or bush. It kind of a negative view, but to me the next prez gore or bush don't relate to "respect" in the way us non political folks do. ... i know what you is now thinking, RESPECT... you dougak can't even spell the word let alone relate to something you abuse.... gore is a "me" person in that others either help his agenda or hurt it. That saying, either you is for me or you is against me, no neutral. bush is whatever his father's Powers that Be want, and just so Not Worth a Rubin ain't one i is ok with it. <<... and a potentially very severe recession on the way, Gore would most likely win in a landslide in 2004.>> But then if this is also knowned by the Republican Party, of bad economic times already in the cards for usa, then once bush become prez-elect it will be in their greatest interest to "hurry up" the sights & sounds of bad economic times before Janurary ?, 2001 when the next prez is sworn in. Again if the seeds of bad economic times are already planted, then if in the starting weeks of the prez bush administration they push up out of the ground and make their bad presents be felt, then yes it will be a prez bush garden of poor crops, and i agree that no matter what the Rep Party says, in 3 years it will be egg on prez bush unless he turns it around atleast 1 year prior to next prez election. Guess the question is strength of bad economic times possible in front of us. I sense its going to be a biggie and hard and long to fix if the usa dollar loses a lot of its value. (off topic) I'm gonna order the best BBQ possible using internet, so if anyone here has experience and suggestions then i would like it if you could append it to any on topic post you do on this thread to anyone(i read them all). So far its.bigbobgibsonbbq.com No one is really sure where the word barbecue came from, or even when. Webster's Dictionary says the word probably came from an aboriginal Arawakan people of the Greater Antilles and the Bahamas. But mention the word barbecue in the Deep South of the good ol' USA and all the non-extinct people of the Greater Alabama area will translate the word into one meaning -- "Big Bob Gibson."
