Hi Don Green; 20% for a 24-hour period is a great return, even on a stock with the usual volatility of RMBS. Plenty of people are successfully trading on RMBS with TA, and at least one makes a lot of money with turnips. (G)

I don't have any interest in sitting here and defending the art of TA (or turnip reading for that matter) against the barbarians. Maybe Zeev will get into it.

Suffice it to say that the vast majority of the public is unable to make sense of quantum field theory, but despite that ignorance, there are quite a number of people who understand it well and use it with no problems. I would rewrite your statement to be a description of your own limitations, and not one of that of other people.

My trading calls were for 1 or 2 day holds, and were both in the past 35 days. Trying to find them on a 2-year chart is kind of silly. Here's a better view:

By the way, the fact that I'd be exiting that RMBS position after just 24 hours is not to say that the stock will go up or down after that period. Different participants have different time horizons, mine (for chart reading) just happens to be around 24 hours. I'm sure that there are people who read the TA for longer periods, maybe some of them will comment on your 2-year chart.
