Excuse me, but you were responding to the post I made about these invalid votes:

You clearly asked why I posted that article. You also implied that the state of Florida was responsible for not purging its rosters (which I agree with)...

But you also conveniently ignored the parts that I highlighted. Go back and look at how it is alleged that Theresa Lepore IGNORED the state list, rather than taking pains to verify if people were being errantly placed on it.

If there is an error, then it needs to be fixed and that is the voter's partial responsibility as well. But you don't throw out the baby with the bath water and no longer attempt to prevent felons to vote.

What if people were not being permitted to vote because their driver's license doesn't match the address in their voter database print-outs? Throw those out too?

I personally know of several individuals who were not permitted to vote because their DL addresses did not match their voter data. But the local canvassing board did not go to the extent of throwing out the voter database just to ensure these people were permitted to vote.

People have all year long to get their voter registration data updated. Some folks have 4 years to get it right (assuming they only vote in presidential elections).

Bottom line, all votes cast by felons should be disregarded. If officials are able to discern who they voted for, their vote should be nullified and the tallies immediately corrected.

I may be hard-hearted here, but I believe society has a vested interest in preventing both felons and non-US citizens from participating in the election process until they are properly certified either through naturalization or amnesty.

I personally don't want the kinds of people they would be inclined to vote for running our nation.

And btw, that INS debacle IS pertinent to this, because their is a concerted effort by some democrats to derive power and votes from the prisons.

And that fact alone should make people really ponder why they vote democrat, if nothing else does.

They are the ones pushing to automatically grant restoration of rights upon completing punishment.

Completing punishment, and showing you are willing to abide by the same laws that everyone else is expected to abide by, are two different things.

Regards,

Ron
