Rick, WinMe is supposed to be easier to master while Win2000 is more robust.

Here's a Dell laptop that gives a choice of WinME or Win2000

I think you'll find the Win2000 in business pcs.

I think Win ME could be considered the better OS for consumers because: it offers the most comprehensive legacy support; it demands less hardware resources; and is priced less.

Win 2000 is a superior OS.

P.S. If one was a bit cynical they'd think Microsoft wanted to sell two OS for every box: Win ME to start, and Win 2000 later.
