Anyone see Barrera on HBO tonight? WOW! He fought an ex-champ with a 62-9 record by the name of Jesus Salud. The fight was stopped after 6 rounds because Salud was taking a jumbo size ass whoopin'. MAB looked better than I have ever seen him. He was fast, powerful, slick and actually showed some defense. He showcased an awesome straight right as well as his signature left hook to the body. He was a fightin' machine baby. Emanual Steward, the Prince's trainer, was with Jim Lampley at ringside and he was both extremely impressed and concerned because Barrera will be fighting Hamed on March 3. DO NOT MISS THIS FIGHT PEOPLE. Barrera fought like a man possessed, with skills and movement no one has ever seen from him in the ring. He looked far more formidable than he did even against Morales in that war for the ages earlier this year. If he fights Hamed the way he fought tonight, he will rip the Prince's head off and sh*t down his neck. Steward said flat out that the Prince will not be able to either out-box or out-punch Barrera given tonight's performance. He will need to rely upon his unorthodox style as well as his ability to punch from many angles. According to Steward, Hamed will be forced to take chances in order to get to Barrera and that will leave him open. He does not look forward to training the Prince in preparation for this fight.
