Gore, Is this the leader we need for our country?

His ruthless pursuit of power at any cost is revealing a side of him that raises serious questions about his ability to lead. As he circles his wagons and excludes anyone who is not behind him 125% his monommaniacal behavoir begs the question, how would he behave in a time of national crises. For example, imagine Gore invested allot of emotional & political energy in a policy of say pacifying Saddam. How would Gore react when Saddam betrays agreements and makes Gore look like a fool?

If we are going to have a one man show in the White House, we have better have someone who can demonstrate unemotional balanced leadership capabilities.

Whatever his integrity was before signing onto the Bill/Hillary show, he certainly has degraded into a warped maniac at this point.

v-OT-e, Good morning, Isopatch,

Thanks for the article. I remember reading it and being disturbed that Gore has sequestered himself from his team - always a bad sign when the sane ones aren't there to stroke a shoulder and talk some sense - shades reminiscent of General Suharto before his removal by the sheer brute force of public opinion. (Cut to inner sanctum, Al & Tipper holding hands) "If-we-don't-like-this-ree-al-i-ty,-Tipper,-then-let's-all-con-cen-trate really, really hard...

And maybe that's what will ultimately be needed to get rid of this gargoyle. From this article, it appears that Gore's "inner circle"is made of himself, Lieberman, and the little women. The (No) Joy (Hard) Luck club, I guess, unless they've managed to form some kind of single-consciousness, Pod Person environment. The Inner Circle is of one mind - one mind - one mind"

If the Supremes come out for Bush, my guess is that you will see Democrat support evaporate quickly. Nobody in a leadership position in that party has the kind of stubborn will of Stonewall Jackson (if I remember rightly) who said or the Supreme Court, after an unfavorable decision (was it Justice Grey?):" He's made his law - now let him enforce it". If the Democrats dare to face down a Bush judgement, they will face the ire of a disgusted and impatient populace, as well as conservative legislatures in both Florida and Washington who will move quickly to end it. I believe this to be the fundamental reason they wanted to avoid the US Supreme court.

And if the Supremes find for Gore? Don't wanna go there... Wouldn't be prudent... If they do, it will more than likely be to issue an opinion which is less clear cut, (let's face it - the Gore side of this argument is complex, far more so than Bush's fundamental argument)and thus will not spell and end to this crisis anytime soon.

And if, as you say, foreign investors suddenly take their chips off the table, with a looming recession, shortage of oil, and political instability? Your LOOK OUT troops! may become: LOOK OUT: Troops!

Regards to all,

Aggie
