There is some good news about GBU posted in the most recent edition of "Northern Miner." Analyst Mike Jones of Canaccord Capital states that "the company might soon attract a takeover offer from a major gold producer."

Jones was also very optimistic about GBU's mining at the Rosia Montana gold-silver project in Romania and stated that "numerous factors add intangible value to the projects, including tax-free status, low royalties, supportive government, skilled labour and easy access to ports, roads, rail link and power."

Jones further went on to say that he upgrades GBU's medium term target price to $7 per share. He also stated that "a takeover by a major, under the same investment considerations as those used for AngloGold's Geita (gold mine) transaction, could see a value of $8 to $10 put on the shares."

Traditionally, one buys mining stocks in December and they are sold in August, after they appreciate. I expect we will see a turnaround with this stock, as the rumours about a buyout have continued for some time. This tells me that something is definitely happening.
