because Al Gore decided to contest the election, The election would never have been contested if Baker and the rest had not suppressed a full and fair count right away. They thought they could bluff their way into the election by "official" announcements from partisans. No, they aren't going to steal this election in the dark, every nook and cranny of Florida politics will be exposed and written up, and litigated, and edited. If the votes aren't counted I think you can be assured that challenges and litigation and civil suits will continue right into the next congressional elections. TP
