Hi Mitch
Wow, that's a lot of questions. I have to go out for the rest of the day, so my response will be brief. The questions surrounding evil and it's origins are legion. Just for a start though I would say that evil does exist now in a positive sense, but that it was not actively created by God. So it was potential until it was manifested by an apparent free will choice on the part of Satan. As far as an Evil per square foot quotient goes I have never thought of it in those terms, or are you asking if there is a limit to just how evil a being can become? If the one third of the stars in revelation 12:4 are to be taken as fallen angles or demons, then they are out-numbered two to one and their crusin for a brusin. Got to run
Oh, here is a link to a critique of Joe Campells book, THE POWER OF MYTH you might find interesting. I watched the series and found it very interesting, while at the same time very much against Christianity. I think he was mythtaken.
