wayne, i enjoyed the vargas/tito fight. tito showed me something he had never shown before (or i never saw). i think tito has to be one of the best conditioned fighters in boxing. he was head and shoulders above vargas. vargas' legs looked wobbly every other round after he got laid out twice in the first.

i didn't respect tito as a champion before i saw this fight (i bet dela hoya in a decision against tito and lost my dough ;-(. he is a great boxer. sure, he's been knocked down a lot, but that is b/c every time i see him he is moving forward and his opponent is moving backwards. he pushes and controls the fight. he moves toward the action and when you do so, you are bound to get rocked on occasion.

he has excellent hand speed and power. i think he could have jabbed vargas more effectively, but he really dominated the fight ex the one real low blow.

he's also mature. did you see the silly grin vargas kept flashing tito after every round? bad choice. a competitor will work even harder to knock that kind of grin off your face and into the third row. i didn't see vargas grinning any of the three times he hit the canvas in the 12th. rumor has it that it is still in the third row ;-)

exciting fight, though :-) too bad don king has to be involved.

ps - i expected vargas to win, too ;-)

wayne, the supreme court whacked the punk fl supreme court pretty good. i think partisanship fogged their mind - consciously or not.

it is fundamentally not right to cherry pick an election. gore s/h called for a statewide recount from the giddy up. he would have AWSOME credibility if he did.

instead, he has as much credibility in my book as he had going in... NONE
