Spooner, ZDNet News <<Electrostatic noise causes MicronPC.com to redesign the motherboard on new high-end PCs, delaying shipping times by up to six weeks. MicronPC.com has pushed out the expected ship date of one of its two new Millennia Max Xp PC models because of a noisy motherboard problem. The PC is based on Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s (NYSE:AMD - news) new 760 chip set, which offers either a 200MHz or a 266MHz front side bus. (The bus provides a data pipeline between the processor and memory subsystem.)........The PC features a 1.2GHz Athlon chip, 266MHz bus and 266MHz Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic RAM (PC 2100 memory).
