There has been much made of the fact that it was the responsibility of the voter to vote correctly with the ballot, whether it was the butterfly ballot, punch card, whatever. By the same token, it could be argued that it was also the responsibility of the voter to be sure their voter ID number was on their ballot application.

Actually, the argument is that the GOP people who altered the applications committed a crime, as per Florida statutes, and not the voters themselves.
