My third ex-wife used to try and put words in my mouth. She had a bad habit of failing to listen to what I actually said and then interpreting what she "thought" I "meant" in a way to turn her argument against what I actually said.

I'm sorry, I have no idea what "noise out of joint" means.

I think you meant "with their noses out of joint for each election."

May I tell you something? The world does not consist of "good guys" and "bad guys"; it consists of people. Conservatives are not evil; unless you live on a hippy commune (if there are any left), they are neighbors and acquaintances, sometimes even friends. The same is true of liberals and Democrats.

The country is not going to collapse if George Bush wins; the same is true of Al Gore. Yes, there is some importance to the result of this election, but while it is being resolved, people are going about their daily lives and will continue to do so after is settled.

Calm done. This is not the beginning of Armegeddon. Regardless of the outcome.
