Not to shoot the messenger, but, I stopped reading when I saw this:

In 1972, IBM crashed and lost billions in value. Tens of thousands of people were fired literally in a few weeks. IBM never again became an important company. DEC was later bought by a small company.

He's only about 18 years early about IBM, and I think they are still an important company. Compaq a small company? Even 2 1/2 years ago?
