This might be the time we find out if the PC market needs some consolidating, like a lot of analysts are calling for. Gateway and Micron Electronics are the logical candidates to implode, with possibly IBM doing something also down the road, like scuttling or selling off the PC division.

Not to say INTC can't go lower latter if the market don't
get better..but it's going to bounce.
----------------
What alarms me is so much "party" politics talk on so
many stock threads, ( not just this one ) while there are many threads on SI dedicated to politics.
I think it's fairly lame for people to hope or fear
some political outcome will make them rich or poor.
When it's really not up to the outcome "but" the way
they already bet on it. And the fact they would bet
a stock on some political outcome indicates the
speculative nature of those types.
I hate to say it but it's a bit amusing to see them
in such pain, and maybe they need a little more
pain to learn watch the tape, and not the news.

It's hard to find anyone on SI who is bullish enough
to say they are buying, and that just may be a good
sign.

I remember the old Bull/Bear indicator that SI had
( sure wish they had kept it ) as it was a good
contrary indicator .

In other words as wise as most SI posters seem to think
they are, it hasn't ever been true "most" SI members
get market calls "wrong more often than they get them
right."

I don't see many posts by any one saying Hey this is a
bargain and I'm buying, Meanwhile
Sony is having to re-call their highly hyped VAIO laptop that used an off breed CPU, while INTC has one just as
fast that doesn't use any more power ..and it works !!
Now how did this tread miss taht ?
---------------
Well FWIW I bought CPQ Thursday & INTC Friday, I may sell Monday But I bought while every one else looked like they
were shaking in their boots.
We will see come Monday if I screwed up. :-)
