Do you find it even the least bit odd that Bush is keeping as low a profile as he can during what could be termed his first crisis?

Not odd at all. Cheney and Baker are the ones doing the heavy lifting as far as the Bush Team's public responses. Bush has come off as wooden as Al Gore has been accused and as partisan as Karen Hughes. If I were team Bush, I would keep him holed up in Crawford too. The more the man talks, the more he prejudices people against him. It was true in the election campaign, and is still true. I don't envy them given what they have to work with in GW.

Not at all. He's showing that he has class and that he is willing to listen to his advisors. Gore otoh, appears to be self-serving and then to make matters worse, has Joe L. whining on his behalf. Truthfully, Gore looks like a little kid here, saying, "Cmon, play one more time. Please, please, please!"
Many talk about Bush's lack of intelligence. He may not be as intellectually capable as Gore, but he has the wisdom to seek others advice. Wisdom goes a long way for leader. Gore doesn't appear to have any. Bush has the gift to even reach out across party lines. Gore is more isolated than even Clinton! He never has and never will get others from the Republican party to go his way. He's even losing some of his own support. He's a dismal character. Why can't you see this?

Sore and democrats are lowlife clinging on by their fingernail. Republican philosophy respects the law and does not use frivolous legal sophistry to delay and delay. This contest period is so short because the stupid Sore team pulled the trigger on the protest phase and delayed the contest period for an extra 10 days. The expert put on by the democrats is rightly being perceived as a Sore shill to bone. This contest will go on and on as the only way democrats have a prayer is to present a never ending case that will not prove that any honest intelligent person would expend time effort and energy on a 1 in a googleplex possibility the Sore got more votes.

Fact Janey reno sent ilion back and gave Bush the votes.
Florida Supreme court sucked 10 days out of contest period and that is screwing Sore now. Florida Supreme court and sore thought that they had the votes in the recount and certification would screw Bush in the contest period.
Democrats are lawyers and politicians and not engineers.
At very minimum 19 out of twenty engineer are Republican voters.
Boise had the own goal by presenting false justification for counting dimples and instead had written into the Supreme Court decision a case that clearly shows that dimples are not to be counted.

This means that many Palm votes alleged for Sore are contestable and the Florida Supreme Court would be loath to selectively apply parts of decision that they made part of their record. The members of the Florida Supreme court understand that Sore has through Boise put them is an extremely bad light. Sore's presidency will not be had by their reputation.

Sore is deadmeat.
