The Libertarians, by the way, are being blamed for Gorton's defeat in Washington state. They won something over 2% of the vote there. I'm not sure the Republicans feel so warmly toward them these days.

I don't think the democratic "opinion" papers, radio, or TV has half the scope of the conservative, and evangelical christain networks that put out the Republican opinion.
