I agree you have to move to preserve profits -- all I was saying is that Barron's is probably a good contrary indicator in reco'ing taking profits ... I haven't been buying puts and have missed this decline. Been too darn busy to do anything really up until it was too late and I don't want to chase a decline.

I think whenever you get a triple or better, prudence dictates taking some off the table. The home run is rare, -- you've got the current circumstance, 98, semi-melt in 95 -- where you had a chance to have multiple home runs by being in the right sectors in the midst of a rapid decline ...

I do think 100% profit is too little unless you are right up against (2-3 wks before) expiration
