doc, I think it was Gore's big mistake not to press for a statewide recount immediately, even though it was not Florida procedure. I think we know by now why the Bush camp has been adamantly opposed to any and all manual recounts.

Your statement is so true. Kinda gets my goat that all the dems think you are an a-hole if you don't give a guy every opportunity to take your W. Since the dems seem to like sports, I guess we can go to o.t. if you are really close at the end of the game. The team with the lead would be total jerks if they did not allow the other team another chance because they "knew they had more points" than their opponents. Kind of pathetic. I think my hope that it becomes evident to the general public that Al is a whiner is coming true. Scott
