Great timing, Ed! I was just going to post what I found at TechTV. I tried it and discovered another step. As you can see I need very precise, baby STEP by STEP directions! I'm a very SLOW learner! LOL

-Go to START to CONTROL PANEL to NETWORK.
-Select the CONFIGURATION tab.
-Highlight "Client for Microsoft Networks"
-Click on "Properties"
-Go to "Network Logon Options"
-Select "Quick Logon"
-Click OK
-Go to the "Primary Network Logon" box,
-Make sure "Windows Logon" is selected.
(If you get a message telling you that you're installing an
older version, do you want to go ahead -- say YES!)

-Restart your computer.
-IF the log-on window comes up (it didn't on mine):
-Enter a name, (any name it doesn't matter),
-Leave the password blank, and hit return.
-When it asks you to confirm that blank password, hit return again.
-After that, you should never see the log-on screen again.

TADA!

Thanks, Ed, Gottfried and CatLady for your help! My computer has never run better!

Now, what do you all know about how to make money in a Bear Market??? <ggg>
