No, I haven't got Him on this one. I have you. I didn't ask God the question I asked you.
I see the problem very clearly. What God told them to do to the Canaanites was vicious and disgusting. Slaying of children doesn't not sit well with the vast majority of people, in fact it sickens them. But to say you would not do the exact same thing if God so required repudiates your faith. This is not a trick question. God required it of his faithful once, why not again?
Now tell me where my 'interpretation' is flawed. Simply put, would you slaughter children if God ordered it done again?
